WHAT’S HAPPENING!

In 2001, Brandon Jordan made his first appearance at I-70 Speedway.  His first race was to be a memorable one as well as informative.  In the first race for this 2001 Rookie of the year, he took 30 minutes of just sitting in his car, to gain the calmness it would take to start his first race.  Before he could even finish the first lap, chaos broke out in front of him, and the race was over for Brandon and his team.  It was in this first race that he would also realize, at any moment in a race; your racecar can be turned into junk.

In Brandon’s second year at I-70, he was a little more seasoned than in his first year, and took home the “Most Improved Driver” award.  After taking home his first career victory in the 2002 season, Brandon and his crew, Curtis Hendrix, Mike Burt, Dan Guerney, and Mark Gibson decided to step it up a notch, and at the end of the 2002 season, purchased a Super Truck.

When asked what his goals were for the 2003 season, his answer was simple.  “To gain knowledge of the new Super Truck, and what it needs to be consistent each week.”  He loves the thrill that the track at I-70 has to offer.  “The rush you get out of those 30 degree banked corners is unexplainable.” He has also learned what most drivers at one time or another has learned about the high banks at I-70.  “One wrong move or missed mark, and you are just along for the ride to the concrete wall.”

Brandon and his team would like to thank the sponsors that have supported him this far in his racing career:  Independence Custom Fabricators, Classic Design and Printing, Desco Properties, and Aflac Insurance (KC Area Region).

I-70 Speedway would like to wish Brandon Jordan and his team a successful 2003 season.
