################################# "We want to thank everyone for all of the great calls and support. After speaking with a good handful of drivers we have decided to to move the season points night to the Saturday of World Cup, so we will not be running Saturday the 13th. The ASALMS will be renting the racetrack for that weekend and putting on the World Cup this year. We have had some concern on cars getting tore up and car count for the scheduled race on the 13th. After Speaking with Brad Barlow of the ASALMS about running all of our classes for the World Cup, it makes sense for us not to take a risk the week before The World Cup. We hope this will give all of us the opportunity to finish out our season on a very positive note. The World Cup race has been a tradition at I-70 for years, and this year should be a great one with all of our regular classes running for our season points championship along with the stars and cars of the ASA Late Model Series. Please note that final checks will be handed out on World Cup Weekend if you are unable to attend please call the office for other arrangements. Once again we at I-70 would love to thank all the fans, drivers, crews ,employees and volunteers for all of their support through a challenging year. We look forward to seeing everyone at the World Cup 2008 and please check the schedule for the rest of the season and World Cup.

This is strictly BONUS money for finishes which will be spread thru the remaining weeks of competition - “NO BOUNTY - IT’S NOT WORTH TEARING UP CARS FOR”, stated Gochenour. " Running Super Trucks and Late Models together, I thought they were crazy, but at the end of the race I was spent. That was the most fun I have ever had racing. We knew we had to do something more", says Jim Gochenour of Dayco Painting and driver of the Lucky #13 Super Truck. I-70 Speedway recently began running the Super Truck competitors with the Late Model Feature to increase car count and provide the fans a more exciting event. Super Trucks were given some technical concessions in order to make them as competitive as possible with the Late Models on the high banks. Brad Johnson just missed the top five in the first event finishing a strong sixth spot and starting the chatter among drivers and fans alike as to whether a Super Truck could win a Late Model feature. Gochenour of Dayco Painting would like to reward the Super Truck drivers not once, but every week we race for the remainder of the season. Jim has agreed to put in an additional $300.00 to the purse each week for the Super Trucks. A Super Truck Driver himself, Gochenour is more excited about racing now than he has in a long time. "It is a blast racing with a large number of race cars or trucks that's why we are putting up the bonus for the trucks." says Gochenour. Gochenour will add $200.00 for the highest finishing truck and another $100.00 for the second highest finishing truck for the rest of the season. "This should help those truck guys make a stab at it and if a truck were to win the 100 lapper then the bonus becomes even sweeter (I am a Truck guy you know)", Gochenour said slyly. Come out this weekend for the Super Saturday 100 and CARB night to see who will win the new Dayco Painting bonus this weekend. Fan gates open at 5:00pm – hot laps begin at 5:45 and the green flag drops at 7:05pm.
